Troubleshooting if BuddyX extension is stuck

If you are seeing the error "Your Chrome browser is not responding" on BuddyX, then it could be that BuddyX is not able to communicate with your Chrome. There is a known Chrome issue that is causing this issue and should be fixed by their team soon.

Until then, we have 4 possible solutions for you:

Please try them in the same order.

Option 1

  1. Look for the small extension symbol at the top right corner of your Chrome browser that represents extensions.

  1. Click on it, so you can see all extensions. Click on BuddyX and a pop-over will open (see screenshot)

  1. At the bottom of the BuddyX pop-over, you will find a button called "Troubleshoot".
  2. Click on the "Troubleshoot" button, refresh OF page and try again!

Option 2

Shut down the Chrome App completely and open it again. Make sure all tabs are closed.

On Windows, you can close the app by pressing Alt + F4 or selecting “Exit” from the settings menu. On Mac, you can close Chrome by pressing “Command + Q” or selecting “Quit Google Chrome” option from “Chrome” menu.

Re-open the browser and try using BuddyX again. If this does not solve this issue try option 3.

Option 3

  1. Open chrome://extensions/ . You will see all extensions on this page.
  2. Go to the BuddyX extension and turn the toggle off once and then turn it on again. (see screenshot)

  1. Then head back to onlyfans page, and refresh the page and try the extension once again.

This should most likely fix the issue. You can try to turn it off and on couple times as well.

Option 3 should definitely work for 99% of cases. If it still does not work, then the only option is to re-install the extension.

Option 4

Create a new chrome profile!

  • Click on the User profile icon on your chrome browser.
  • At the bottom you will see a + sign or the settings icon.
  • Click on one of them and you will be able to create a new chrome profile with or without an email.
  • Download the extension on this profile and try again!

Please note: if you did not sync your notes / templates to the server, they will not be available on the new chrome profile.

Unfortunately, if none of the above solutions worked for you, then something is stuck in your Chrome and BuddyX is not able to communicate with onlyfans. This can only be fixed by uninstalling the extension and then re-install it. You can re-install the extension using this link.

Please note: If you did not have syncing ON in BuddyX, uninstalling the extension will mean you will loose access to fan notes, message templates and to-do's on the device you'd reinstall the extension. We apologise for the inconvenience.

If none of the above options help in solving this issue, or you need more support, please feel free to reach out to us at contact@buddyx.app or on our Telegram channel.
