Follow expired fans lets you follow back fans that were once subscribed to you but have expired now. Frequently, subscribers disable auto-renew in their settings, so even if they adore you and your content, they may be unsubscribed without their knowledge. With this feature, you can scan through your expired fans and, automatically follow them back.
When you follow expired fans, you can retarget them with personalized messages (or PPV) to remind them about you, which will increase your revenue from content sales. In addition, a follow notification will prompt them to check your account, which will result in them re-subscribing!
Why are there 2 versions of the bot?
Depending on your auto-follow back settings on OnlyFans, you can choose which bot you should run. You can check this setting by going to your page, click on Settings -> Fans and Following -> Toggle for "Auto follow back for the duration of subscription"
- If you have auto-follow back ON, we recommend you use V2.
- If you have auto-follow back OFF, we recommend you use V1.
You can run both versions, but keep in mind that with V1 bot, you can exclude lists and creator accounts, if you don't want to follow them. With V2, they are not excludable. This is probably only an issue if you have a free account and automatically follow back creator accounts. With paid pages, very few creator accounts would be part of your following, so this problem should not exist and both versions can be utilized.

Once you've followed a fan, you can follow them back without exceeding OnlyFan's daily limit. Hence, if OnlyFans allows this setting for your account and it fits your strategy, we recommend that you leave it enabled.
How does the feature work?
Version 2:
Some things to note:
- Version 2 is significantly quicker than Version 1. This is due to technical differences between the "Following" and "Fans" lists on OnlyFans.
- Followers who were followed once but were unfollowed because they expired do not count toward the daily follow back restriction of 100 to 400 (depending on your account size). Thus, if this list has 20,000 fans, you can follow them all down in a single scan!
How to setup?
You may run the scan manually at any time, or you can choose "Auto-Follow."
Manual Scan
- This pop-up will appear once you click the "Run Scan" button. If you wish to add the fans you've followed to a list, choose one (or create a new one) and then click Start. When scanning, the bot will begin following the expired fans and will show statistics.
Automatic Scan
- Click on Auto-Follow. If you wish to include the fans you've followed, choose a list. And then select "Start Auto Following." Every day, the bot will scan through your expired fans and follow them back!
Version 1:
Some things to note:
- Version 1 is significantly slower than Version 1. This is due to technical differences between the "Following" and "Fans" lists on OnlyFans.
- If you didn't have the setting to auto-follow back your fan and you are follwing them for the first time, you will reach the daily limit when using this scan. So only a max of 100 to 400 fans (depending on your account size) can be followed in a scan.
How to setup?
Like V2, you can run this scan manually at any time, or you can choose "Auto-Follow."
Manual Scan
- Click on Run Scan and you will see this pop-up. Before you start, you have a couple of settings to choose from:
1. Do you want to exclude a list of fans that should not be followed?
If you have a list of time-wasters or fans you don't want to follow back so they cannot message you without following, then you can use this list to be excluded. Fans in this list will be skipped whenever the scan runs.
2. Do you want to follow creator accounts?
In some cases, it can be helpful to follow back creator accounts, but sometimes you only want to follow real fans back. This toggle allows you to make that choice.
3. Do you want the newly followed fans to be added to a specific list?
If you want to add the users to a specific list, choose a list here and then you can target them accordingly.
After you have set up the configuration, click on the "Scan and Follow Expired Fans" button.
Automatic Scan
Click on Auto-Follow and configure the settings (same as above) and then select "Start Auto Following." Every day, the bot will scan through your expired fans and follow them back!

- For auto-follow scans to function properly, make sure you have turned sync-ON on all devices -> putting the email in the extension turns sync ON.
- The scan activates only while one of the browsers is open and logged in to the account. If you have three accounts linked to a key and are logged into just one of them, the auto scan will only function for the signed-in account and not the other two.
When the scan is running in the background, a notification will appear in the right bottom corner. Please keep in mind that, because of the nature of how V1 works, we have set restrictions on how many requests the tool may make to OnlyFans in a single scan of auto-follow V1, thus there may be days when the tool does not hit the daily limit of fans followed but does approach the limit of requests. This prevents the scans from spamming the OF servers.
"Total fans followed by BuddyX" statistic will be the sum of all fans followed with the bot (including both versions) and any fans followed on other devices with access to this account (meaning this number is synced across devices).
